The general terminology for Deaf is Deaf, deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened.

Each Hard of Hearing individual has different degrees of hearing. We cannot assume all Hard of Hearing people have similar hearing. May use sign language and may interact with both deaf and hearing people.
